About Jitters Lunchbox

The Lunchbox’s creators, Reggie and Sharlene Fouser, opened Jitters in beautiful Flagstaff in 1996. In 2018 the Fousers made the decision to retire and sell the Lunchbox, the restaurant they had devoted 22 years to developing.  It seems that fate play a role when Doug Evans entered Jitters for the first time to discuss purchasing the restaurant. He was immediately impress with the bright and cheerful feeling of the Lunchbox and of the owners Reggie and Sharlene. He and his wife, Melanie Platt, took over operations in September, 2018 determined to stay true to the Fouser’s vision.

Doug, a chef with 40 years in the hospitality industry, saw that the business model to fill a niche to provide quick, healthy lunches to the Flagstaff community and nearby businesses was a good one. So, rather than come in and change the things that made the Lunchbox a Flagstaff favorite, the menu would remain mostly unchanged. Doug did call on the long time friend, Pastry Chef Randy Posenauer, to join him and add a new dimension to the already delicious bakery selection at the Lunchbox. Now you can find large selection of pastries, cakes and cookies to accompany the Sandwiches, Homemade Soups and Salads that put Jitters on the map.

Our mission…
Melanie and Doug believe the Fouser’s vision for Jitters Lunchbox needed no updating. It remains…

Preparing food with only quality products
Caring for customers with superior service so they come in as a customer, but leave as a friend
Consistency in preparing all food and drinks
Cleanliness to ensure a healthy environment
Employing caring people.

It is our privilege be a part of the Flagstaff Community and we will continue to put our hearts into providing the best experience to our guests.
